I hope the collective outrage and loss of heritage helps. It’s all a disgrace. Thanks for writing this

Brian Gibbs IS the park called Effigy Mounds. He and the land are invaluable resources to the State of Iowa, the people of the Driftless, and the precious indigenous people who WE THE PEOPLE continue to desecrate. Thank you Larry!

Oh Larry, did you ever think things would come to this. This is the desecration of the heritage of our great land. We need to maintain our energy to resist these out of control, irrational decisions that are being made by a felon and his muskrat. When will our Congressional public servants realize they have been had?

Good reporting, Larry. If there was still a statewide Sunday morning paper you would have been above the fold!

Thanks, Larry, for sharing how close to home these thoughtless measures are hitting. And thanks to all the people who showed up to protest. We can not just roll over, as some may be hoping; we must continue to call out these terrible actions.

Thank you so much Larry for writing this. Your thoughts represent so many of us that feel our National Parks truly are the "jewels" and the best of this nation. To see our public lands and waters under siege like this breaks my heart. Thank you for your action at Effigy Mounds.

Contact Ashley Hinson and let her know your pain and angst. Contact your Iowa State Senators and Representatives and tell them not to pass the bill repealing the Natural Resource and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund. Stand up and fight!! Stop the Steal. Stop taking our Nature away and stop destroying it.
