You have captured the essence of a prairie Larry, thank you. Our eyes feast on the next prairie flower to share its color in the sea of green! What it must have been for those first peoples to harvest and preserve plants that would feed them and help them remain healthy through the winter.
It’s tempting to romanticize that very difficult life but many times I wish for a simpler but hard life.
