Although today, my farm in Wayne County looks like it belongs up north, I am guessing 5-6 inches so far but it turned above freezing this afternoon and the snow is sinking under its own weight. I have no need to go anywhere for days, expect much will have melted in the coming week. Love your stories!
Glad your thoughtful planning and careful driving resulted in a safe and memorable trip to visit family, Larry, especially when poor planning and careless driving too often result in front-page stories. Glad also to note that enjoyment of the outdoors and good photo-taking have been inherited.
Long ago I lived in northern Vermont and there are times I truly miss trekking in the deep woods. The prairie is beautiful but woods provide shelter and solitude.
